Hi Folks -

So, last night I was driving home and happened upon this little gem:

The wide wheels and the roll bar tell me that he might be doing AutoX (or just wants to look like it). Regardless, I’ve always liked the Scirocco...

Oh, yeah! But I’m a wee bit pissed that VW is not making a US version of the new Scirocco...

There’s two of these for sale in Minnesota right now! I love them and hate that I don’t see them on the road anymore. The worst is the “mechanic’s special” title...

Not much, it’s a reskinned Golf (mk5). But you might be able to say the same about previous Scirroccos.

I love the look of old Sciraccos. back in April when I was car shopping I found a brown 84 on CL for 1500 bucks, and it looked to be in pretty good shape, but when I called the seller he told me some one was looking at the car right when I called. he emailed me an hour later to let me know it was sold.

How can you not like this.

Yeah, a huge disappointment. Hell, Europe has the option for a scirocco with the GTD engine. Unfortunately VW is probably right worrying that this vehicle would likely cannibalize sales from the GTI/R-line.
